Here's hoping...

The Forgotten Intangible...

When I posted my intangibles the other day, I forgot perhaps the most relevant one...

The Evil Road Flames...

I don't know how I forgot about them, but they were more than a little prevalent in Thursday's game. Let's just hope they have gone back into whatever hole they crawled out of...

Wow, to say this is a bad start would be an understatement...

Datsyuk scores about a minute in...

2 men down three minutes in leading to a 5 on 3 goal by Lidstrom...

Another penatly on Hale just after the Conroy one expires...

Yet they have still gotten a couple of decent shots off...

I almost miss McGeough right now...

And now a scrum behind our net when they are running our goaltender...

Another 5 on 3? WTF!?!

Holy Shit!

Are we going to see the Flames at even strength at all this game?

Nice things to hear...

Amonte's first shift wasn't until almost 13 minutes into the first period...

He actually drew the Red Wings first penalty of the game...

Only 4 more to go to even it up...

5 on 3... Let's do something with it boys... Even if it is only for 21 seconds...

At this point (2:00 left in the first) I just want the boys to get out of the period and regroup before the second...

But I'm home this afternoon...

I'll be out the rest of the week though (and Saturday as well), so I'll save it for those games...

Wow, is it ever nice to have Regehr back...

Excellent play to take away Lang's passing option...

playfair's probably saving him up so he can play the last two minutes of the game in their entirety. especially if we're behind...

Or he's probably hoping for overtime and know's that Tony would have to play all of it...

Because he's obviously clutch...

Well, they bookended the game with penalties nicely...

I actually thought they played better today, they just have to be a lot more disciplined when they get back to the Saddledome...

we all know they'll win at the dome. probably a couple, and everyone will think they're on their way back to the big victory. i don't buy it, and i'm sick of pretending we have a shot at the prize. this team is fatally flawed, and his name is jim playfair. a darryl sutter coached team would never have had 5 penalties in the first 8 minutes. and, of course, regehr's out again so we're pretty much sunk. i cannot believe gio's not getting the nod, even in such dire situations.

go rangers !
